ADVENT … Mary, Mary…

Throughout Advent we are continually reminded of the special faith Mary demonstrated when Angel Gabriel told her she would bring the Son of God into the world as a baby (altho she had ‘no knowledge of man’…)

She believed the Angel’s words: Nothing is impossible with God… & she trusted God to sort all the details out.

“Let it be done to me as you have said.  I am the handmaiden of the Lord.”

Let it BE…

As Fr. Sean reminded us last night, the Beatles may have sung it, but Mary said it first.

Let it BE…

p.s. just have to share this quote from one of my Advent devotionals today:

“That man say we can’t have as much rights as a man ’cause Christ wasn’t a woman.  Where did your Christ come from? From God and a woman. Man had nothing to do with it.”     (Sojourner Truth, 19th Century)
