A (Powerful) Prayer for Our Times

Today is the feast day of Saint Ignatius of Loyola (1491-31 July 1556.) As previously posted here (Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam)  Virginia is a groupie of Saint Ignatius, the founder of the Jesuits. As we celebrate his life and Jesuits the world over, including our beloved Pope Francis, here’s a prayer from Saint Ignatius for hearts to ponder.

O Christ Jesus, when all is darkness and we feel our weakness and helplessness, give us the sense of Your presence, Your love and Your strength. Help us to have perfect trust in Your protecting love and strengthening power, so that nothing may frighten or worry us. For, living close to You,we shall see Your hand, Your purpose, Your will through all things.”  Saint Ignatius of Loyola

A prayer that came to me in a time of need and I cannot thank you enough Virgina. I am technically registered as a Catholic with the parish of St Ignatius. But I have not set foot to pray in this church as congregants appear in their Corvettes, Prosches, sports calls and noses are up in the air haha! But the prayer is giving me hope now. Much Garfield hugs.
