Busy today with holiday doings & goings, my previously plotted humorous post did not seem appropriate given the terrible tragedy yesterday in Connecticut. I hope one day the families of the precious ones killed will be able to laugh again, but today is not that day. May our God comfort those who mourn with His gentle Shepherd’s Hands as they walk through this valley…
THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD;
I SHALL NOT WANT.
HE MAKES ME TO LIE DOWN IN GREEN PASTURES;
HE LEADS ME BESIDE STILL WATERS.
HE RESTORES MY SOUL;
HE LEADS ME IN THE PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
FOR HIS NAME’S SAKE.
YEA, THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY
OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH
I WILL FEAR NO EVIL;
FOR YOU ARE WITH ME;
YOUR ROD AND YOUR STAFF, THEY COMFORT ME.
YOU PREPARE A TABLE BEFORE ME
IN THE PRESENCE OF MY ENEMIES;
YOU ANOINT MY HEAD WITH OIL;
MY CUP RUNS OVER.
SURELY GOODNESS & MERCY SHALL FOLLOW ME
ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE;
AND I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD
FOREVER.
(Psalm 23)
grace, peace & Good Shepherds
