On this first day of Autumn (after imbibing large quantities of appropriate pumpkin spice beverages) here’s a quickie quote to get fall vibes going:
“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” Albert Camus
grace, peace & fall ‘flowers’
Virginia : )
A fine quote Virginia. Mother Nature is resplendent in her fiery finery. Autumn is one of my favorite seasons of the year.
Hoping you and yours are well and thriving. Stay safe π

Hey Dewin, we are kindred spirits! I love fall – the crispness in the air, the brilliance of the trees in all their glorious hues (βfiery finery!β) Plus, itβs cool enough to bring out Hot Chocolate (priorities!)
Ditto to you- pls stay safe & hope all is well with you & your kin.

Indeed we are kindred spirits, and tree-groupies alike…in awe of Nature, mesmerised by her beauty, inspired by her grace.
How could I forget hot-chocolate season is nigh! I’ve your recipe from last year still pinned to the fridge door. There’s hot chocolate in the cupboard and marshmallows in the larder. We were well and truly ready for the official start of Autumn (in the northern hemisphere) on September 22nd
Thank you Virginia, all’s well with one and all this side of the great puddle…we’re still upright and breathing and very much hope we’ll stay that way!
I guess you are keen for Halloween: ’tis the perfect excuse to get Jack out of his DVD sleeve and give him another airing!
Love the autumnal emoji’s! Take care of one and all π

What a great idea, Dewin — I must get Jack out and onto the Big Screen. You may find this hilarious – I keep figurines of Jack & Sally out all year in our living room (pride of place and all that!) Now I can get all the other TNBC stuff out (pillows, books, trays, mugs for this avid groupie!)
Temps finally dropped a bit here for a few days, enough to wear a sweater and socks (!) So enjoyed first hot chocolate of the season, a double made with vanilla almond milk. I also have been using oat milk for chai. If you haven’t tried oat milk, it heats up well. (Tried on advice from a lovely barista last summer, oat milk froths nicely vs. almond milk.)
Stay well, Dewin. Enjoy the fall!
Blessings – Virginia : )
I have to admit Autumn is my favorite season! There’s just something wonderful about cooler temperatures, different smells in the air, the length of shadows, and oh, all those holidays!!
I love Autumn, too, Debbie. A cool front finally blew in here – glimpses of fall are in the air! Our crepe myrtles are making their final gasps, but hopefully trees will start popping out glorious fall colors soon. ππππ€ππ
Happy first day of Autumn Virginia!
Hereβs to colourful flowers & trees soon come.
Your pumpkin spice beverages are right on theme!
Hey Sunshine, we finally had a few ‘fall-ish’ days – enough to get pumpkin spice grooves going. Our crepe myrtles here bloomed full on the last few weeks, but now are on their last gasp. A few fall colors are peeking out – it’s almost as if the trees are a little tentative about getting their Autumn grooves on. Can’t wait till they go full blast! Pumpkin Spice (and all that is nice) blessings to you!

Beautiful post! And so true! Fall is my favorite season!
Thank you Cherie, I also love Fall especially The Trees! A few fall colors are just starting to peek out here.
Blessings to you and yours! : )
You’re so welcome! Blessings to you as well, Virginia! βΊ
