Yes, Virginia, It’s Halloween…

“There are three things that I’ve learned never to discuss with people: religion, politics, and The Great Pumpkin.” Charles M. Shultz, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

HaPpY Halloween one and all! On previous Halloweens Virginia has posted about her hero Skeleton Jack (a.k.a. The Pumpkin King) in one of her favorite movies “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Skeleton Jack and Sally betwixt and between holidays. You can read my post from last year by clicking here: “Happily Ever After” @ Halloween?

In the spirit of the holiday (keeping it rated “G” scary) this year Virginia (the person) decided to mix it up a bit by sharing a pictorial tour of the pumpkin patch at Darden’s Country Store in Smithfield, Virginia (the state.)

All are welcome in this Pumpkin Patch (especially PUMPKINS!)

Pumpkins (of all shapes and sizes) are hanging out.

But there’s a wild tractor on the loose (note Mr. Helpless in a Hungry Haystack – that may garner a PG rating!)

Small spiders are hanging out with other creatures – note greenish Mr. Dracula (a little sick from the sunshine?)

Saved scariest creature in Pumpkin Patch for last – Mr. Huge Spider. Yikes, those eyes are creepy!

Trick or Treat? … HaPpY HALLOWEEN!

grace, peace & Pumpkin Patch fun

Virginia : )

Hi Aditi, thanks for dropping by. Welcome to the blogosphere! I will check out your sight. Hope you had a nice Halloween. No trick-or-treaters here, but lots of homes in our neighborhood went crazy decorating so kids could walk by & be appropriately scared. Cheers! πŸŒŸπŸ‘»πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸŒŸ

Hope you had a nice Halloween, Michelle. No trick-or-treaters here, but lots of homes in our neighborhood went all out decorating to make it a fun fest for kids to walk by. (Even big kids like me enjoyed driving by at night the last week!) Enjoy your pumpkin patch!🌟 πŸ‘»πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸŒŸ

Very low key Halloween here with no trick-or-treaters, but lots of homes put up extra decorations that made it fun for kids to see (even big kids like me!) Blessings! πŸŒŸπŸ‘»πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸŒŸ

I love pumpkin patches — the owners are usually so creative with their displays! Hope your Halloween was fun and not too scary, Virginia!

    • Virginia says:

No trick-or-treaters here, Debbie, but lots of folks put up hilariously frightening decorations for kids to pass by and be appropriately scared. (Big kids like me enjoyed nightly drive-byes all last week.) Hope you had a good Halloween, Debbie – A blessed All Saints Day to you! πŸ‘»πŸŽƒπŸ‘»βœ¨πŸŒŸβœ¨

Looks like a pumpkin farm! Remember my pic a few years back? No trick or treaters here, though doggie and I spotted some great lanterns as we walked the other night. Daughter reported similar to you: a lot of decorations and some outdoor activities for the little ones round their neighbourhood. Sounds as if a good time was had by all!

Jane, the weather has been pretty wild here. Cold fall temps, then this week we put our shorts back on traipsing around in sunny weather (at a local beach I saw women in their swimsuits tanning themselves on Tuesday!) And now, chilly temps have returned. This morning I saw two grape tomatoes ripening in our garden pot outside on our deck – and it’s NOVEMBER! egads! Blessings!
