Wednesday Photographs: Canadian Clouds & Roses…

Lobster Cove, Gros Morne National Park (Newfoundland, July 2000)

After i finished grad school (a few years ago!) my brother & i put 5,000 miles on his car during a driving holiday of the Canadian Maritimes + Newfoundland. After a grand week on Prince Edward Island & a few beauteous stops in Nova Scotia, we ferried it up to St. Johns & then drove across Newfoundland to the truly majestic Gros Morne National Park …then up to St. Anthony’s (the tippy top of NF)…then all the way back down to Port aux Basques & over by ferry & on to New Brunswick.  All AMAZING!!Every place we stayed (all B&Bs) the heart-warming Canadian Hospitality wowed us ! : )

Charlottetown Roses (Prince Edward Island)

But have to leave you with an After-Valentine’s Day Canadian Rose…that reminds me of the amazing Canadian Roses (the people kind) who have helped me soar above rocky rubble in so many places (from D.C. to the Middle East & especially in Africa!)

grace, peace & Canadian Roses (all kinds!)
