A Wednesday photograph on Tuesday?? shock-a-roo (for the faithful Roses in the Rubble followers, You Know Who You Are, this is a 1st since Va The sporadic Blogger has been known to post Weds photos on SUNDAY! : )
Couldn’t resist sharing this one early, since Advent is all about that Light in Darkness theme. As Fr. Sean reminded us Sunday, during Advent we’re not just to focus on being (& seeing) Light in the darkness, we’re also meant to root out the dark stuff cluttering up the corners of our hearts & minds.. (letting Heavenly Light Super-Powered broomsticks in to do Their thing, sweeep, sweeep!)
…and then..
“This little light of mine, i’m gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it SHINE!…”
grace, peace & sparkling Lanterns
Virginia : )
p.s. here’s an inspirational quote for the day….(in that Light Theme..)
“Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the Light.” Helen Keller
Hmm…very good blog! Must let The Light shine thru clouds of doubt and uncertainty. Love Helen Keller quote!
Amen, Cindy! Sometimes God needs a Mac Truck tractor to shovel the gigantic dark piles of doubt.& uncertainty & FEARs that weigh our faith down. Other times, that Still Small Voice softly melts our fears & tenderly beckons us back into The Light of Everlasting Love… Faith keeps us moving toward (& with) The Light..
grace, peace & Light. – Gin : )
Nice, Virginia! Yes, that Helen Keller quote is a wonderful one and most appropriate for Advent. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Sharron – & many thanks for your thoughtful Advent reflections that are part of strengthening our faith to participate in mending our shattered world…
Pax et bonum – Virginia
Good word! Keep it up, Roses in the Rubble!
Sa’id Bill – yaaaay(!) Thanx for making my day! And, as always, for your faith, friendship, leadership & example-ship of what being the Light of Jesus is all about (especially in dark places) … hmmn, actually, the lantern looks kinda Wyoming-ish (methinks ‘twould fit well in your grand log cabin!)
grace, peace & Advent Blessings (hugs included) — VA : )
p.s. be careful on the ski slopes not to hit any ski-bunnies (accidentally, that is!)
