Advent is all about Light in the darkness… there’s the famous proverb that it’s better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. As we see all the beautiful lights decorating homes & streets & churches & stores (& more) – may they remind us to choose Light, because lighting candles in dark places is a CHOICE (sometimes a Very Difficult one!)
The darkness doldrums can definitely Get Us Down. Instead of complaining, however, we can BE Light. It’s a choice… that starts with ME.
