20 June is World Refugee Day. There are over 65 million refugees and internally displaced people around the world today. “We must not let ourselves be moved by fear in this country.” So spoke Eleanor Roosevelt on 28 November 1939 regarding the Jewish refugee crisis in WWII Europe. Her admonishment remains a strong challenge for us today.
Conflict battered refugees – mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons – need new homes today. Safe places to live and heal.
