Today here’s a pic and a few quickie quotes for our minds & hearts to contemplate (especially hearts & minds of those of us getting older!)
SNAPSHOT:
Japanese Gardens @ Maymont Park (Richmond, VA)
& WHATNOT:
“The great thing about getting older is that you don’t lose all the other ages you’ve been.”Β Madeleine L’Engle
“Today is the oldest you’ve ever been, and the youngest you’ll ever be again.” Eleanor Roosevelt
“Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. And dreams are forever.” Walt Disney
Virginia : )
The pictures are beautiful..and so are you Virginia Lea, inside and out…no matter what age…
Thanks, Carol-Jo, for that nice compliment (when iβm feeling blue will take it out for another look-see!) Another year older, but wiser? (Can hope & pray!) πππππ
Nice quotes Virginia. Lovely flowers too.
Thanks, Arlene – flowers brighten up our lives, Godβs heavenly paintbrushes, busy, busy! πππ·ππ
True π
Beautiful flowers they are and great quotes. πΈβ¨
They say wisdom comes with age (we can only hope as years pile up?)π· π€£π·π€ͺπ·
Those quotes are so reassuring to those of us who might be leaning toward the fourth quarter of their lives.
Yes, Tim – is it C.S. Lewis who said weβre never too old to dream a new dream? And do something new? ππ§ππ·ππ·π
Beautiful flowers, Virginia — thank you for sharing them here. And the quotes are lovely, too!
Thanks, Debbie, from one flower groupie to another.π π·π€ͺπ·π€π·π
Well hello there! Your perky images, and pick-me-up quotes are splendid, especially since my birth month is rolling in tomorrow. In today’s world of almost ageless humans, 63 is not old, just older, hopefully wiser, and still frisky. One thing I know for sure, I’m going to hang in there, ’cause I truly believe the best is yet to come. Thanks for sharing!!!
HaPpY HaPpY Birthday month, Sparkyjen! As years pile on, we can hope weβre getting wiser? And friskier? (even if our knees need a little help here & there.) Blessings & cake, cake, cake!!! π·π°ππππ§π·
So sweet. So thoughtful. Cake? Absolutely, yes cake!π
Not quite at 60 yet, but as well to be prepared! Thanks for the reassuring quotes and beautiful pictures. Iβd like to think that all our ages become a part of us, hopefully in a positive way, whatever our chronological age might be. π
Older & wiser (we can only hope.) My Papa always said itβs not the years that make us old, but the miles (we’ve tread.) But miles make us wiser, too! Blessings! π π·ππ·π
a lovely post!
Thank you, Michele – flowers & quotes, an inspiring combination. ππ·ππ·π
simply lovely and inspiring
Thank you for your encouraging words! Blessings (& donβt forget- sunscreen & chocolate!) βοΈπβοΈπ«π©π«
