Today here’s a snapshot my iPhone captured of goings-on in one of my brother’s fish tanks: Mr. Loach Fish making friendly with Mr. Alien (in a welcoming way.)
“Courage is found in unlikely places.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien
If we can find the courage (inspired by Mr. Loach) to reach outside our comfort zones this Advent weekday, we might encounter surprises of various shapes & sizes.
“Each day holds a surprise, but only if we can see, hear, or feel it when it comes to us. Let’s not be afraid to receive each day’s surprise. Whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy it will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity.” Henri Nouwen

Great quote and your brother has an awesome fish tank👍😃
My brother changes out the fish tank decor every month – so his fishies don’t get bored! Blessings & hugs, GH! 🙂
That is so nice and creative of him. He could make good money doing it professionally!
Wow!
Mr. Loach Fish is pretty cool – he’s one of my favs! 🙂
I’m pinching myself over how clean your brother’s fish tank is! I used to have one — many moons ago — and found it a chore to keep the thing looking clean. Maybe I should’ve bought a cute alien, ha!
Debbie, my brother cleans his tanks (he has two) regularly & also switches out the decor every six weeks or so. He likes to see if the fishies will ‘love it or list it’ (Dwight’s a big fan of HGTV!) Mr. Alien is rather cute, isn’t he? : ) Blessings!!
