HaPpY Thanksgiving to Canadian friends Up North (and wherever you may be around the globe today.) This magnet on our frig is a memento of several grand visits to Canada.
A little Canadian Take-Out humor…
Whether we’re celebrating Thanksgiving in October (or in November as we do here) with turkey and all the trimmings (or take-out) π every day is a good time to be grateful.
Yesterday our priest challenged us with this quote:
βWhen it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.β G. K. Chesterton
A blessed Canadian Thanksgiving to friends Up North, and a challenge for the rest of us to carve a little thankful time in our daily routines.

Life is so much easier to live with gratitude. When I wake up each morning, the first thing I say is, “Thank You for a new day ;).” Happy Monday !! Love the picture, let’s have a great week β€
Scarlett, an attitude of gratitude is a great way to start each day (even if we have to think a tick or two.) You are in good company – my bedfast quadriplegic papa started each day that way. He always said his blessings outweighed his challenges… Hugs! ππππ€π
It’s good that I woke up to this in my feed…Monday Madness was setting in but I read this and remembered to say, “Thank You !!” My husband is an artist and he painted a picture almost exactly like the one on your post. Only difference was it was at night with the moon shining throught the trees β€ Blessings Mz. Virginia β€
That sounds like a beautiful picture!! Blessings Mz. Scarlett!! ππ³ππ³
That magnet is so funny! π€£ I really love that quote. I’m saving that.
Isnβt that magnet hilarious, Michelle? I have a t-shirt with that emblazoned on it, too. Gratitude blessings!! ππππ
Wonderful memories of a Canadian Thanksgiving dinner prepared by Chef Virginia at Fellowship House in Washington. I think the year was 1988. What fun it was !
Edie, Iβll never forget that dinner – the first time I baked a huge turkey on my own! (Called my mama with frantic βhow toβ request so as not to botch it!) What lovely memories, Edie – miss you & love you (lots!) πππ€ππ
Loved it!
Thank you! πππ
Love this! Thank you so much dear Virginia! Thanksgiving blessings to you and your loved ones! β€
Patty, since thanksgiving blessings are good every day, wishing you a week filled with extra doses of Godβs grace, peace, love & joy!! πππ
