May Day Flowers!!

My precious Mama always said, “April showers bring May flowers.” Since most of us can’t visit our favorite gardens at this time, here are a few favorite pics from past visits to celebrate May Day 2020 with flowers…

Butchart Gardens, (Vancouver Island, Canada)

Norfolk Botanical Gardens (Norfolk, VA)

Maymont Park (Richmond, VA)

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden (Richmond, VA)

Governor’s Palace Garden (Williamsburg, VA)

National Arboretum (Washington, D.C.)

So beautiful!! Flowers bring hope, cheer and love. Once you can go out safely, I look forward to seeing more of the gorgeous plants and flowers in the gardens.

Thanks, GH. We are looking forward to visiting our favorite gardens in Richmond again (about an hour drive) – we usually make spring treks that we missed this year, but at least we still have pics from visits past. WE are blessed that our gardens here in Williamsburg are open, a real treat. We’re allowed to go out ‘exercising’ – a blessing with such beauties on view. Take care! 🙂

I love these, Virginia — thank you for sharing them! My mama, too, took great delight in making May baskets for us kids when we were growing up. Such a lovely tradition — so sad it’s not as popular or well-known as it should be!

Love the Audrey H quote! Time to put our tomatoes in the ground!

Tim, my brother already has a few of his garden potted plants going on our deck. I’m always amazed how his fig tree (stored in the garage as nubs over the winter) grows leafy and big every year…. Gardening graces to you! 🙂
