Responding to Love

There is so much loss in our world and hearts to grieve over these days. Not just loss of loved ones who have died, but also loss of relationships that hurt like fire when someone leaves. On this Lenten Friday, here’s a quote about the relationship between grief and love from one of Virginia’s favorite writers.

“No one dares to grieve who does not dare to love, and love is always part of costly grace. It has been said that before we can give love we must first have received love, and indeed love is a response to love.” Madeleine L’Engle

My heart goes out to friends who have lost loved ones recently. May the peace and grace of Jesus comfort you, and may legacies of love live long in your hearts.
