Whilst away visiting Chincoteague a few weeks ago, my brother & I enjoyed stalking all kinds of birds, but especially the egrets.
This snowy egret is playing hard to get…
okay, now why don’t you have a seat?
Making it easy for you – grab your close ups!
Great egrets (with their bright yellow beaks) are graceful and beautiful – yet the snowy egret with its black beak can be a bit on the quirky side. For some reason this trip snowy egrets captivated my attention.
They may look a little funky, but they open their wings just like great egrets spreading hope (& a little humor) around.
“Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all…”
Emily Dickinson
Time for Mr. Snowy Egret to spread a little hope in other places…
grace, peace & snowy egret HOPE
Virginia : )
Hope..thanks for inspiring g words..
These snowy egrets are a little hilarious, too – compared to the graceful great egrets, they make me smile a little wider. Hugs Carol-Jo!! 🌷🙃🤗🙃🌷
The egret is beautiful and captured soulfully. Love the quote by Emily Dickinson.
Thank you! This snowy egret let us get pretty close & did a bit of ‘posing’ until flying off (which my pocket camera barely caught, but still, you get idea!) My sis sent that quote on a card awhile back – it’s a good one! Cheers! 🌷☀️😎☀️🌷
Aw, he’s cute — thanks for sharing him here!
Debbie, we saw this Mr. Snowy Egret on one of our evening nature crawls around the Wildlife Loop on Assateague Island (Chincoteague National Wildlife Reserve.) He let us get pretty close after playing hard to get! Cheers! 🌷☀️🕊☀️🌷
Egrets are beautiful birds and hope is always necessary.
We so enjoyed the seeing egrets @ Chincoteague- some varieties are quirky (like the snowy egret) & others incredibly graceful (the great egret) – but all, to me, seem like harbingers of hope. Blessings! 🌟🕊☀️🕊🌟
🙂 Have a blessed evening!
May your days & eveings be blessed with extra doses of God’s grace, hope & enduring joy!! Blessings!!💜 🕊🤗🕊💜
