Snapshots & Whatnot: Spunky Seagulls!

Last week while waiting for the Jamestown Ferry to push off for Surry (day-tripping to Smithfield, VA, with my energizer uncle) these spunky seagulls tickled my funny bone.

When we take the ferry across Puget Sound, the piers are always surrounded by lots of seagulls. When I view them on the pilings, and you show here, I sometimes wonder if they are playing a version of “king of the hill.”

Rob, that sounds like a lovely ferry ride. The way the gulls putz about, I don’t doubt they’re playing King of the Hill (or sand dune, as the case may be.) LoL! 🐧🤣🐧

    They’re lovely to look at.

Great quotes, Virginia. And I loved the spunky gulls!

    • Virginia says:

These gulls were pretty spunky – especially since it was a boiling hot day! (Nothing seems to stop my energizer turning-80-years old uncle who was visiting from Iowa!) Blesssings! 🐧☀️🤗🐧☀️

These birds are crazy! 😀 In the winter there’s a bunch of them hovering around our little town. There was an entire newspaper article on not feeding the birds. 🤣 It’s kind of neat though because there will be snow on the ground and it will be 30 degrees, but I can close my eyes feel like I’m near the ocean listening to them. 🙂

    • Virginia says:

You’re kidding me, Michele – seagulls in your neck of the woods in mountainous Virginia? In the winter? That’s way cool (!) 🤣💨🐧💨 🐧 Williamsburg is crisscrossed by 3 rivers (James, York & Chickahominy) so we see lots of gulls (+ we’re less than 30 mins to ocean.) Blessings! ☀️🤗☀️
