“Fear is a reaction. Courage is a decision.” Winston Churchill
Courage is not always an easy thing to decide. Sometimes we are comfortable plodding on, no need to rock our boats with scary things like change in our interior horizons.
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” Marcel Proust
To choose courage, we may need to change the way we see things (not an easy thing to do.)
Why are we plodding along, when we have wings to fly?
“The wings of transformation are born of patience and struggle.” Anonymous
Face it, too often we react with fear before we even begin something. “Not, not, not. No, no, no.” We would rather plod along, even though we have untapped wings inside.
Choosing courage, however, we start flapping our wings and soon we’re flying over our fears. We may fail at times when waves of fear crash upon us, but choosing courage makes our wings fear repellent to get back up and fly again.
“May the wind under your wings bear you where the sun sails and the moon walks.” J.R.R. Tolkien

Thank you, Carol-Jo. I sometimes get stuck in plodding mode and forget to engage courage (the faith-filled kind) to outfly obstacles (the fear-filled kind.) Hugs! 🌟🕊🌟

Thank you, Michele. In addition to the biggie items (love-joy-peace-grace-mercy-patience-wisdom et all) I have been praying these days for extra doses of clarity (to see with the eyes of faith), confidence (to be who God wants me to be) and courage (to do what needs doing!) Hence these quotes are extra helpful! December blessings & courageous blessings – Virginia 🙂
