On this Solemnity of the Annunciation we honor Mary’s huge step of faith, her “yes” to God when Angel Gabriel met with her. Despite her fears, despite not knowing how things would work out, she said, “yes.”
Let it be so. Let it be as You have said.
As Mary trusted God completely, her yes became Love incarnate within her.
In honor of her response, today here’s a favorite song, “Let it Be,” written by Paul McCartney as sung by luminary Aretha Franklin. (It’s a YouTube video. Email readers you know the drill, link to Roses website for a listen.)
“…And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a Light that shines on me,
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be….”

Beautiful picture of Italy
Thanks, Carol-Jo. Heartbreaking what’s been happening in Italy. Sirmione is in the Lombardy region that has been hard hit by COVID-19. It’s a beautiful town. Much love & lots of prayers!! ✨💜🙏✨
