T-shirt Tours: grits galore (+more) in OBX

Today Virginia’s t-shirt tours travel to North Carolina’s Outer Banks (known as OBX.) Since over the years Virginia has enjoyed multiple visits to Nags Head beaches and environs, she has a big stack of OBX t-shirts. Here’s one from a fun place frequented (usually more than once) during our visits.

“Got Grits?” Sure, lots @ the Grits Grill (Nags Head, Milepost 14) Virginia is a huge grits groupie, yumm!

In case you’re wondering what grits look like!

SNAPSHOTS:

In the OBX there’s lots of things besides beaches to see, like these turtles at the North Carolina Aquarium in Manteo.

There’s also lots of beauty to take in like these flowers at the Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo…

…and glorious beach views, like this one in Nags Head.

QUOTE:      “No grit, no pearl.” (Anonymous)

grace, peace & grits galore

  1. Hehe. Nice one!
Quote of the day—-no grits, no pearl. Got it!
    Have a fabulous & glorious week! 🙂✨💫

Hey Sunshine, it’s a good mantra – gritting it out can be tough, but without grit there would be no pearls! Hope you have a fantabulous week with pearls of God’s grace abounding! Hugs! 💐🌟🤗🌟💐

  2. Debbie says:

I’m NOT a fan of grits, but I love the photos of you’ve chosen here, Virginia!

    • Virginia says:

Oh Debbie, grits can be SO delish if cooked properly (otherwise they taste like watery sand.) I always use long-cooking grits slow cooked in milk, & for extra deliciousness add lots of butter & cream. I also make garlic dinner grits, then there’s my fav – CHEESE GRITS! Good for breakfast or dinner & great as part of shrimp & grits. Oh dear, this is making me hungry for grits! Cheers! ☀️🍚😋🍚☀️

Aw these photos are so pretty. Especially those turtles ☺

    Loved the last quote

    • Virginia says:

It’s a great quote, Carol-Jo! Here’s to focusing on pearl development when things get gritty (and having the grit to actually become a pearl! 🌟🦀🌟🤪🌟

It’s been a gritty few months. Virginia, I’ve moved over to WordPress Org. Clicking on any of my old posts will redirect you. Love to see you there. No Reader but I’ll try and fix a blogroll sometime soon. Jx

    • Virginia says:

Sorry to hear it’s been gritty, Jane, but it’s good to “see” you back in the blogosphere. I tried to follow your new site, but couldn’t figure it out. Will try again! Blessings & much (much) peace to you (& me & everyone in our whacked out world!) 💜🙏😷🌹🤗

      • janesig says:

Thanks, Virginia. Still not ‘got roundtuit,’ but will have a word with the developer (our son), to see if there’s a useable solution. I don’t see Reader unless I sign in here, which is partly why there’s been radio silence from my end. But now we’re into second lockdown here, there’s no excuse not to ‘visit.’

      • Virginia says:

It’s great to keep up, Jane — blessings to you across The Pond! : )

  6. This cracked me up! Especially the picture of grits to show people what they look like.

    • Virginia says:

I love grits, but have come to understand that not everyone has developed such a deep appreciation for their tasty nature. Some folks (gasp gasp) don’t even know what they are! LoL! Blessings to you and yours today! 🙂
