#ADVENT: The Potter’s Divine Artistry

“Yet, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and You are our Potter; we are all the work of Your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8)

“It is not you who shape God; it is God who shapes you… If then you are the handiwork of God, await the Artist who does all things in due season. Offer the pottery of your heart, soft and tractable, and keep well the form in which the Artist has fashioned you. Let your clay be moist, lest you grow hard and lose the imprint of the Potter’s fingers.” Saint Irenaus

Heavenly Father, WE are the clay, YOU are the Potter…

We sang the song about the potter and the clay in church choir — thanks for nudging that happy memory, Virginia!

Oh, how I miss our choir & concerts of the season(!!) That sounds like a beautiful song, Debbie. Just think, hopefully (& prayerfully) we’ll be back to full choirs and churches next Advent! Advent hugs! ✨🎶✨🤗✨🎶
