BEAUTY WITHIN

So much tough stuff surrounds us these days, then there are internal battles that wage in our hearts and minds.

“We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.” Ray Bradbury

This quote from multiple-award-winning writer Ray Bradbury presupposes there is beautiful stuff inside us, which might require a bit of faith when woeful mantras fill the airwaves of our hearts and minds (especially when we are fractured by fears and failures.)

Taking initiative to topple over is taking a risk (of sorts.) Setting aside our fears of freefalling into the unknown, unwrapping our insecurities to unravel in the space between doubt and inertia.

Maybe that’s where the beauty of our lives resides. Where we have the faith to believe something beautiful is there – and is worth sharing – even if we have to topple over to find it!

Simply great ! I love your inspiring post,we ought to find out our capabilities because ignoring that means a dull or monotonous life. The moment we stop ourselves from growing in our zone of interest we deny the right to live a happy life .We all are called and blessed to live a King size life but very often we drag ourselves in a pathetic way and show others that we are cursed .The moment I tell others that I am helpless I try to convince others that I am not helped by anyone not even by the creator who created me and that’s the real curse we call upon ourselves and sometimes we are unable to get out of it throughout our life.So count the blessings of your life and live the way the Lord wants it to happen.Thank you very much for sharing .Take care.🌹🙏

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Francis. I like the imagery you used of “dragging ourselves in a pathetic way” when we have access to grace from our Heavenly Father & Creator Who made us with divine purpose. We should be getting our joy grooves on as we let God continue to challenge and grow our gifts & abilities (& finding the beauty within!) Blessings to you! ✨🤗✨

I’ve never thought of myself as a cup … being filled and having to tip over to let good stuff out. Interesting idea, Virginia. I imagine it takes some courage to do that, don’t you??

    • Virginia says:

Methinks tipping ourselves requires lots of courage, Debbie! Seems like there’s risk involved, but nothing ventured nothing gained, right? 💐☕️💐🤗💐

This made me think of Denise Levertov’s ‘The Avowal’ AND the old nursery rhyme ‘I’m a Little Teapot.’ What a weird and glorious mixture!

    • Virginia says:

That sounds like a unique mixture, Jane. I haven’t heard “I’m a Little Teapot” for eons. Now you have me humming it! Hope you are staying well! Blessings! Virginia
