After looking after my sickie brother most of the week, now there’s a sickie sister in the house (!) so here are a few quickie quotes on this Lenten Saturday to contemplate from one of my favorite authors, Madeleine L’Engle..
“God calls us to collaborate with Divine Purpose…but we cannot do it ourselves, we need Everlasting Love, pushing, nudging, if not outright shoving.”
“Perhaps the City of God is not so much a place in space, as a place in the heart.”
“Ultimately forgiveness is a gift of grace rather than an act of will… forgiveness is finally a matter of the heart..”

Feel better soon! I love Madeleine L’Engle and have since she came to speak to my fourth-grade class at St. Gertrude. “A Wrinkle in Time” is a great book, but re-reading her works as an adult – it is amazing how many layers she puts into her ‘children’s’ books.
ooooh, what an experience to listen to Madeleine L’Engle in your 4th grade! i so enjoyed A Wrinkle In Time as a youngster, but really like her spiritual adult writings (& she penned a few adult novels, too..)
Thank the Lord, i am feeling lots better …we have lots of the flu grog going around our town (3 strains of it!) So far, 2 down & 1 to go (even with the flu shot!)
